Wizbang (onetap) Gift Card only Integration

OneTap lets you look up and redeem a customer's Now Book It gift voucher right at the point of sale. This guide covers looking up a voucher, applying its balance to an order, and completing the sale.

If you are looking for the full POS and booking integration, please see Tyro Connect

Looking up a voucher

There are two ways to bring up a customer's gift voucher in OneTap.

  1. Scan the voucher's barcode with your barcode scanner. This sends an enquiry to Now Book It and displays the voucher's details on screen.
  2. Enter the voucher manually:
    a. Press External Accounts.
    b. Enter the NBI Card Number.
    c. Press Ok.

The Presented Cards screen

Once a voucher's been looked up, it appears on the Presented Cards screen. From here, you can purchase against the card, clear the selected card, or clear all cards.

  • If a card can't be used, the Purchase button won't appear. Check the Card Status shown on screen to see why, so you can let the customer know.

Applying the voucher's balance

  1. Press Purchase.
  2. Enter the amount you'd like to use from the voucher.
    • This can't be more than the voucher's Available Gift Card Balance, or the Total Order Due — whichever is lower.
  3. Press Ok.
  4. If the customer has more than one voucher, repeat the Purchase process for each card.
  5. Press Close once you've finished applying vouchers.

Editing a tender

If you need to change an amount you've already applied, you can either:

  • Double-click the tender, then select it and press Edit, or
  • Present the same card to the scanner again.

Completing the sale

  1. Take payment for any remaining balance using cash, card, or another payment method as usual.
  2. Once the full amount is tendered, the sale is processed through Now Book It. If successful, the transaction completes in OneTap.
  3. If the voucher covers the full amount and $0 is due, simply press OK to complete the transaction.
