Takeaway Set up

To set up your takeaway sections and layouts

Create your Sections

1. Go to Venue Settings > Tables > Sections.
2. Create a Section called Delivery if you'll be offering a delivery takeaway service.
3. Create a Section called Pickup if you'll be offering a pickup takeaway service.

Create a Layout for each Section

1. Create a Layout called Delivery for the Delivery Section.
2. Create a Layout called Pickup for the Pickup Section.

Add a shared table to each Layout

1. Add a shared table with a larger capacity to each Layout.
2. Set the table's availability to All.

Once your Sections and Layouts are ready, set up your delivery fee tag (if you'll be charging for delivery) and your Booking Options.

Takeaway tags

If you'll be charging a delivery fee for takeaway orders, you'll need to create a tag before setting up your Booking Options. This tag tells Now Book It to automatically apply the fee to Delivery orders placed through the widget.

To create the delivery fee tag

1. Go to the Diary and create a new tag.
2. Set the following and select Save:

• Name: delivery-fee
• Online: checked
• Tag type: Other

You can now select this tag when creating your Delivery Fee booking option

Takeaway booking options

Takeaway mode uses Booking Options to control what customers can order for a specific service  individual items, meal packs, or banquets, for example.

Setting up your menu items

1. Create a booking option for each item you want customers to be able to order through the widget.
2. Set the payment type to full payment and enter the price.

Charging a delivery fee

If you'll be delivering orders and want to charge a delivery fee:

1. Create a booking option called Delivery Fee.
2. Attach the delivery-fee tag you created (see Takeaway tags) to it.

This automatically applies the delivery fee to any Delivery orders placed through the widget.
