Reports Dashboard

Reports give you a clear picture of how your venue is trading. From a single busy service to bookings months out. Use them to plan rosters, check stock orders, spot trends, and catch problems before they reach the floor.

To view your reports

  1. Open Reports
    • Go to your venue sidebar and select Reports.
  2. Choose a report
    • Select the report you need from the list. Each one answers a different question. See below for what each report shows and when to use it.

Controls you'll see across most reports

Most reports share the same handful of controls, so it's worth learning these once:

  • Start / End Date - Click the date to open a full calendar, or step day-by-day using the arrows on either side.
  • Quick ranges - Available on Bookings Over Time and Forecast. Presets like Last Month or Next 3 Months save you clicking through the calendar one day at a time.
  • Service & Section - Narrow results to a trading period (e.g. Lunch or Dinner) or a seating area (e.g. The Terrace), where the report supports it.
  • Print & export - Use the printer and download icons in the top right to print the report or export it as a file to share.
  • Generate / Load - Bookings Errors and Forecast don't build a result automatically. Set your filters first, then select the button to run the report.

Overview

A single table for your chosen date range, cross-tabbing every seating section against every trading period. It's the report to open first when someone asks "how did the week go?"

  • Rows - One block per trading period (Dinner, Lunch, any named event trading that day, e.g. a Father's Day service), then an All block totalling everything.
  • Columns - One per seating section (e.g. The Bar, The Terrace, The Dining Room, The Verandah, Waitlist), plus a Totals column.
  • MetricsBookings and Covers as raw counts, then Phone, Email, Online, and Walk-ins as a percentage split of how those covers were booked.

Use it for: a weekly wrap-up, seeing which section is carrying the most covers, and checking which booking channels get the most activity.

Booking Arrival Times

A half-hour-by-half-hour bar chart of covers across the trading day. It shows not just what's booked, but who's actually walking in versus who's still seated from an earlier sitting.

  • Covers Arriving - New covers landing in that 30-minute slot.
  • Covers In Venue - Everyone seated at that moment, including tables still finishing an earlier sitting. This shows your actual floor load.
  • Filters - Date range, Service, and Section, same as Overview.

Use it for: rostering your floor and kitchen staff.

Bookings Over Time

Bookings and covers plotted day by day across a wider date range. Look backwards to see how trade has run, or forwards to see how a coming period is pacing.

  • Chart - Two bars per day: Covers and Bookings, so you can spot party-size drift even when booking counts hold steady.
  • Quick ranges - Last Month, Next Week, Next Month, Next 3 Months, Next 6 Months, and Next Year, so you can jump straight to the window you're planning around.
  • Filters - Service only. This report isn't broken down by seating section.

Use it for: spotting seasonal dips and checking forward pacing against the same week last year.

Bookings Size

This report lists every individual booking in your chosen date range, filtered by party size, so you can plan your floor, chase down large groups, and export the list for your team.

  • Status - a coloured badge next to each booking: green C for confirmed, yellow U for unconfirmed, so you can spot at a glance which bookings still need following up.
  • Date and time of the booking.
  • Guest name - plus the company name, if one's attached to the booking.
  • Party size - the number of people in that booking.
  • Bookings - this report lists one booking per row, so this column will always read 1.

To filter the report:

  1. Set your Start Date and End Date using the arrows, or click the date to open the calendar.
  2. Enter a Min People value to hide smaller bookings. For example, set this to 6 to see only bookings of six or more.
  3. Enter a Max People value to set a ceiling, or leave it blank to include every booking above your minimum.
  4. The list updates automatically, there's no refresh button to click.

Use it for: planning your floor ahead of a big service, chasing down large groups, or exporting a table plan for the floor team before a busy night.

Booking Errors

A data-integrity check across your chosen date range, flagging any booking-table conflicts such as two bookings assigned to the same table at overlapping times.

  1. Set your date range
  2. Select Generate
    • Nothing runs until you do this.
  3. Read the result:
    a. No conflicts  you'll see "No booking table errors found."
    b. Conflicts found - the clashing bookings are listed so you can reseat them before service.

Use it for: a pre-service check, or the first place to look if the table plan doesn't seem to add up.

Forecast

The most detailed report, and the most useful one for ordering stock and rostering staff — it projects an upcoming week by comparing what's on the books now against a historic period you choose.

  1. Choose the week
    • Select the week you want to forecast, by choosing "the week from this date."
  2. Choose what to compare against
    • Pick a historic window to measure against. Presets include Last Week, Last Fortnight, Last Month, and Same Week Last Year - then select Load Services.
  3. Add spend per head
    • Enter an average dollar spend for Lunch and Dinner, tick Include Events if relevant, then select Load Report.

Output: one table per day with three columns. Historic Average, Present (what's actually booked right now), and Forecast, each broken down into Bookings, Covers, Walk-ins, Total Covers, and Revenue.

Use it for: stock orders and rostering a week out, and for revenue conversations with the owner. The spend-per-head figure turns covers straight into a dollar estimate.

No Show/Cancellation

Every no show or cancelled booking in your chosen date range, listed individually with enough detail to follow up guest by guest.

  • Each row - Date and time, guest name, party size, and the table it was assigned, marked with a red X.
  • Min / Max People - Filter by party size, useful for isolating large-party no-shows specifically.
  • Empty state - You'll see "No no-show or cancelled bookings match this filter" when the range is clean.

Use it for: flagging repeat no-shows on a guest's profile, or building the case for a deposit policy on larger bookings.
