# Refunds via Stripe
## All refunds for bookings, deposits, and gift vouchers must be processed through Stripe, not Now Book It.
Find the Transaction ID
**Bookings, deposits and pre-authorisations:** open the reservation in your Now Book It diary and check the "Payments" tab. No luck? Search Stripe by the customer's email instead.
**Gift vouchers:** on your venue's admin page, go to Management under Gift Card, select the voucher, and find the "Payment Gateway Transaction ID".
2\. Refund it in Stripe
1. Log in to the [Stripe Dashboard](https://dashboard.stripe.com/login).
2. Search for the payment by name, email or Transaction ID.
3. Open the payment and click "Refund".
4. Confirm to complete it.
You and the customer will both get an email once it's done, and the payment will show as "Refunded" in Stripe.
Good to know
Stripe can only refund settled payments, which usually takes seven to 14 business days after the transaction.
