# Meta Pixel Tracking
## Link your booking widget and gift card widget to your Meta Pixel. You can then see how guests move through your widget and track bookings as conversions in your Meta ad campaigns.
### Before you start
You'll need:
- A **Meta Business** account with access to **Events Manager** and your **Pixel ID.** If you need to set up a Pixel ID go to [Meta help guides](https://en-gb.facebook.com/business/help/952192354843755).
- A login to **Now Book** (if you don't have one, ask your venue manager for access)
### Events you can track
#### Booking Widget Events
Each time a guest moves to a new step in your booking widget, an **event** is sent to your **Meta Pixel**.
The **Booking widget - embed reference** always has the most up to date list of events you can track. To view it:
1. Go to **Venue Settings** \> **Bookings** \> **Booking Widget** \> **Widget Generator**.
2. Scroll down to the **widget embed code**.
3. Select **\ Embed examples**. This opens the **Booking Widget Embed reference** for your venue.
4. Scroll to the **Google Tag Manager & Google Analytics** section to see the full list of events.
#### Gift card widget events
1. Page View
2. Card Selection
3. Customer Details
4. Recipient Details
5. Payment Details
6. Payment Complete
**Which event counts as a gift card sale?**
- Use **Payment Complete**. It means the gift card has been bought.
### Add your Pixel ID to Now Book It
1. Log in to **Now Book It**
2. Add your Pixel ID.
1. Booking widget events - Go to **Venue \> Settings \> Integrations** and paste the Pixel ID in the Meta Analytics Field
2. Gift card events - go to **Venue \> Settings \> Gift Cards \> Settings \> Integrations** and paste the Pixel ID in the Meta Analytics Field ****
3. Click **Save**.
### Test your Pixel
Before you use your Pixel in a campaign, test in [Meta Business Manager](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1536596431576045?ref=search_new_3) that events are coming through.
**Please note:** Some events won't appear straight away. For example, **Payment Details** only shows once a booking has gone through that step, such as a booking that needs a pre-authorisation or deposit.
### Create custom conversions
A custom conversion tells Meta which event counts as a successful booking or gift card sale. Set this up in [Meta Business Manager](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/780705975381000?id=1205376682832142&ref=search_new_0) using [events](https://help.nowbookit.com/knowledge-base/meta-pixel-tracking#booking_widget_events) from the booking widget - embed reference.
**Please note:** New custom conversions can take **3–6 hours** to appear in Meta. Once they do, you can add them to your ad campaigns.
